Method for distinguishing ultrafine fiber cloth and nonwoven fabric

Date:2021-8-6Visits:307

With the continuous improvement of quality of life, ultra-fine fiber cloth has become an essential part of daily necessities. So how can we distinguish its material from non-woven fabric? The method is actually very simple, we can distinguish fabrics based on the following characteristics.

Characteristics of ultrafine fiber cloth:

1. Soft to the touch and lightweight.

2. If the microfiber fabric is attached to a regular piece of clothing in a vertical position, and the microfiber is still attached to the clothing, it indicates that the fiber has a sufficient fineness and is a microfiber fabric.

3. True microfiber rolls into a ball and unfolds slowly, while fake microfiber quickly becomes fluffy.

Characteristics of non-woven fabric:

1. Pay attention to whether the light transmission performance of the fabric is consistent (this is an important and simple method to judge the uniformity of the fabric). Then lay it on a flat surface, and the product with good uniformity should have no undulations on the fabric surface.

2. Observe whether the fabric surface has luster. Are there any fibers floating on the surface? If there is no luster or a lot of floating fibers, it is mostly produced from recycled materials. Tear off a piece of cloth, burn it completely with fire, observe the combustion residue. A good product has less residue and is flat. It is produced from secondary materials, and there are many tiny particles of dust in the residue.

There are more and more varieties of ultrafine fiber fabrics on the market now, and you may want to use the above methods to distinguish them.
